Hmm usually science (or broadly research – so we also include social sciences and humanities) is trying to find a logical answer for everything.
However, we operate on different levels, e.g. emotions, subconscious, biased judgement, therefore messages from other sources sometimes are more appropriate
I think that art and humour are especially useful for “giving answers” , although not in a direct way.
E.g. if you have a crush on someone, science would tell you it’d down to some hormone levels rising in your body – but that’s not satisfactory? Perhaps then if you listen to an emotive song -this would hit you harder than a science explanation 🙂
It depends a bit on your outlook.
As a scientist I think about most things in terms of science, whereas other people I know have different viewpoints on difficult questions like ‘how did the world begin?’ and ‘can ghosts exist’?…
