Oil is a finite commodity – i.e. it will run out. ‘Replacement’ oil is found by finding new well sites where there is oil, so once a well is dry its dry, more oil wont come back. It is made from millions of years of dead organisms (plants/animals) being crushed under immense pressure and temperature as layers of sediment and rock piled on top.
